Cowbridge and District Flower Club

Flower Club celebrated it’s 45th Anniversary with a garden party in the Chairman’s home.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t informed of this event and as people arrived a thunder storm with lightening rain and hail prevented anyone leaving the cars. When it eventually stopped everyone made a sprint for the door as the party was held inside. This did not detract from a wonderful atmosphere with prosecco, afternoon tea and a raffle The delicious food was made and served by members of the committee and £800 was raised for the club. This will help with the monthly meeting costs which have increased dramatically with fuel and flowers all being more expensive. The next meeting of the flower club is on September 7th in Cowbridge Town Hall at 7.30pm when there will be a demonstration of flower arranging by a very experienced expert. Visitors always welcome so come along and be amazed at the skill and beauty of the arrangements and by buying a raffle ticket you may be taking one of them home.
