Cyncoed Floral Group
What a joyful Christmas practical on what was a very wet and miserable Tuesday afternoon this week! The session was expertly led by club member Beverley Clay on how to do a tall arrangement. Thank you Beverley; it was a great afternoon. Shame about the rain!
Happy Christmas everyone.

Festive Floral Fantasy
Arnaud Metairie treated us to a brilliant demonstration at club today.
It was fascinating to watch a floral fantasy expertly unfolded with such skill, panache and style. A big thank you Arnaud from us all. Here’s to the next time!

Cyncoed Floral Club
60th Anniversary Celebration
The club is 60 years old this year and we could not let it pass without a big celebration.
Here are a few photos of our big day out at Llanishen Golf Club on October 28th at which we were delighted to be joined by Delyth Price, NAFAS Area Chair.
We spent a relaxed morning arranging our themed flower arrangements, exhibition tables, coffee and chat, followed by lunch.
In the afternoon ,after reflecting on 60 years of memories, we were treated to a superb demonstration by Katherine Kear entitled ‘Doofers'.
Then came the prize giving, cake and Prosecco. Many thanks to Chris Lynch for judging our competition class ‘Every Diamond Tells A Story'. We had two non competitive classes as well ‘Rough Diamond 'and ‘Diamonds Are Forever' ; a memorable showcase which we took to
the lovely St Isan Church in Llanishen . Over the next few days we raised£185 for Cardiff Food Bank.
A busy week , but so worth the memories so here’s to the next 60 years! ????. Thank you to everyone who made this happen.

Dynamically Dramatic and Metamorphosis at Cyncoed Floral Club
Here are a few photos from our practical session this month. Members were trying out these two titles lifted from the recent NAFAS National Day in Gloucester Cathedral. Thank you Ann Thewlis. It was a fun session and judging by the chatter and activity , thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our members spent a brilliant and vibrant afternoon of fun with Andrew Lloyd of Stourbridge on Tuesday 23d September. The arrangements were fantastic as was the patter. Many thanks Andrew for your inspirational ‘September Song’.

What a brilliant Open Night we had last Tuesday 17th June with Elizabeth Graham. The Floral Time Traveller was a delight to experience, depicting the many styles and mechanics across time. My personal favourite was the Dutch floral style. Many thanks Elizabeth. Audience feedback has been amazing. My photos do not do it justice I am afraid. Your audience was enthralled.

Here are a few photos from our ‘Easter’ practical session last Tuesday which was a great hit with all our members. It was led by our very own Ann Thewlis , who is also our hardworking Programme Secretary and President.
It was a great session and we all enjoyed a lovely afternoon working together on our creations.

We had a wonderful practical session with Chris Lynch last Tuesday . She showed us how to do a table scape . The focus was on Dominance and Space in our design and it was so productive. We all went home on a ‘high’ after a fun afternoon. Many thanks Chris.
